What is the MBS Difference?
MBS is an expert in all areas of natural gas. While plumbers dabble in natural gas, and inspection services span multiple areas, our expertise is concentrated in a limited area, which means more focused experience.
We have installed more than 100,000 seismic shut-off valves - more than any other contractor in the state of California - and laid over 25 miles of new underground Polyethylene gas piping. We have surveyed and repaired thousands of commercial gas leaks.

Gas Leak Common Misconceptions
1. Gas Utility Provider Can Fix Your Leak
Your gas provider is not responsible for the lines, fittings, hardware or devices on your property. If a gas utility company does manager to detect a leak on your property, they will often just shut down the property until the leak is fixed.
2. Gas Lines, Fittings, Valves and Regulators Don't Need Maintenance
The reality is that much of California's infrastructure is aging, and much of it was constructed before galvanized steel and polyethylene was used. Unkept systems most often lead to corrosion and other high risk issues.
3. Equipment At The Hardware Store
The gas leak detection equipment you might pick up at a hardware store is inadequate. You would need to walk right over the area of the leak, they aren't sensitive enough and cannot tell you the extent of a leak.
4. If Don't Know You Have A Gas Leak, It's Like You Don't Have One
The absurdity of denial aside, as conditions deteriorate, the likelihood of a catastrophic problem grows. Whether you know about a leak or not, you can be legally liable for a gas accident.
5. Shutting Down Your Property To Have A Survey
We can perform surveys at any time of the day. The process is not disruptive or invasive of any normal activity going on at the property. Schools can remain in session, offices can go about their business, etc.
