Did you know that there are over 2.6 million miles of fuel pipelines in the U.S.? In order for each portion of this intricate pipeline system to function properly in transporting and delivering liquids and gases to millions of users each day, there needs to be reliable material to support these substances. Pipe fabrication is a critical component of the natural gas industry, especially as it relates to ensuring systems perform efficiently for consumers serviced daily.

So what is fabrication, you ask? It is the process of welding piping components—and it takes some serious dedication. Prior to creating a pipeline structure, fabricators must carefully gather requirements and study specifications for the use of the materials to determine optimal functionality.

Depending of the type of substance being transported within the pipes, certain materials and instruments in the construction of the pipeline need be considered. As does the approach to using consistent tools, systems and standards to safely deliver superior results even in the most challenging environments.

MBS Engineering has a workforce of highly-trained professionals with expertise in every stage of pipeline fabrication and development. From highly skilled craftsmen, pipefitters, fabricators and welders, MBS offers excellent safety standards and quality performance for all of your pipeline needs.

I think you're absolutely right in saying that creating a safe pipeline structure is of utmost importance. I would imagine someone to want their pipelines working efficiently and safely while delivering liquids and gases to their desired locations. I will definitely look more into how pipelines can be maintained for safety purposes as I know there is one pipeline going nearby my area.
